When talking with some customers about the packaging of humidity indicator cards and desiccants, many customers have a misunderstanding about the packaging. Where is the misunderstanding? Here is an example of a customer:
 
 
 
A plastic bag is packed with PCB boards and placed in a humidity indicator card for vacuum packaging. Why does the 60% humidity card in my package change color after a period of time?
 
 
 
Vacuum pumping can ensure that the packaging is in a safe state within a certain period of time, but, first, the outside air will circulate; second, plastic bags can not completely block air into the packaging, each plastic has a penetration rate. This is why driers are used in packaging, or why 60% of the points in humidity indicator cards in some customer packages change color.
 
 
 
Our suggestions are:
 
 
 
First, put the indicator card and desiccant before packing, and use vacuum packaging.
 
 
 
Second, use thicker plastic bags.
 
 
 
Thirdly, the use of aluminum foil bags, it is recommended to use special high-aluminium foil bags.
 
 
 
Fourthly, improve the storage conditions of products and store them in dry warehouses as far as possible.
